Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. Who we are, and who we aren't
Aleo AI ("we," "us," "our") operates the website and chat service at aleoai.org and chat.aleoai.org (the "Service"). The Service is built using:
- Open WebUI — an open-source chat interface project, used here under its open-source license. We are not the developers of Open WebUI and have no affiliation with that project or its maintainers.
- OpenCode's API — a third-party service we use to route chat requests to underlying AI language models. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenCode or Anomaly Innovations, Inc.
We customize and host these components to provide the Service, but we don't control the underlying AI models themselves, their training data, or their outputs at a fundamental level — we configure and operate the system that connects you to them.
2. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and, because your requests are processed through their infrastructure, OpenCode's Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these, you may not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up. You may not share your account or let others use it on your behalf.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, attempt to circumvent usage limits, or are used for any unlawful purpose.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and usage credits
Aleo AI offers a Free plan and paid subscription plans (currently Standard and Pro), billed monthly through Stripe. Each plan includes a usage credit that resets on a rolling basis (currently every 5 hours) rather than a single monthly allowance — see your pricing page for current details, as these may change from time to time.
Recurring charges. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis through Stripe until you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period unless required by law.
Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from your account page via the Stripe billing portal. If you're unable to sign in for any reason — including account or data issues unrelated to payment — you can also request cancellation by email, and we will process it without requiring further access to your account.
Changes to pricing or plans. We may change prices, plan limits, or credit-window mechanics with notice posted on the site. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms for that plan.
Fair use. Usage credits and rate limits exist to keep the Service sustainable. Attempting to circumvent them (e.g. automated abuse, credential sharing to multiply free-tier limits) is a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Generate content that is illegal, that facilitates harm to others, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights
- Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or abuse the underlying models or infrastructure beyond normal product use
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' access to it
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our prior written consent
Because the Service routes requests through OpenCode's API, your use is also subject to OpenCode's own acceptable use terms. Violating those terms through use of our Service may result in suspension of your Aleo AI account as well.
6. AI-generated content
Responses generated through the Service are produced by third-party AI language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific use. You are responsible for evaluating and verifying any output before relying on it, especially for decisions involving health, legal, financial, or safety matters. Do not rely on the Service as a substitute for professional advice in those areas.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of any model's output. Models, their capabilities, and which underlying provider powers a given "Aleo" model tier may change over time without prior notice.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the messages, files, and other content you submit through the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit Your Content as necessary to provide the Service — including sending it to OpenCode's API to generate responses.
We do not use Your Content to train AI models, and we do not sell Your Content to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling, including what is shared with OpenCode as part of operating the Service.
8. Service availability
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Because the Service depends on third-party infrastructure (including OpenCode's API and the underlying AI providers), outages or degraded performance on their end may affect Aleo AI and are outside of our direct control.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE, OR ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT, WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR ERROR-FREE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALEO AI AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party software and infrastructure, including but not limited to Open WebUI (open-source) and OpenCode's API. These third parties have their own terms, policies, and practices that we do not control. Your use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the applicable third-party terms where noted in these Terms. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or policies of these third parties.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or for any other reason with or without notice, including to comply with legal requirements. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
